Storm Ashley, the first named storm this season, will cross the country on Sunday.

This Sunday’s Roscommon senior football final between Pádraig Pearses and Roscommon Gaels is set to be played under a Status Yellow wind warning.

While Status Orange wind warning have been issued by Met Éireann for Galway and Mayo as a result of the first named storm of the season — Storm Ashley — for now, the rest of the country is under a Status Yellow warning on Sunday.

The warning, which is in place between 10 a.m. and midnight on Sunday, says that Storm Ashley will bring strong and southerly winds, coupled with high spring tides.

Possible impacts for County Roscommon include some fallen trees, branches, difficult driving and cycling conditions alongside debris, and loose objects displaced.
