Uisce Éireann engineers are hoping to restore water supply to the Oran area this afternoon.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water to customers in County Roscommon following a major water main burst at Oran.

The burst is impacting the communities of Cam/CloverHill, Ballydooley, Ballindall, Rockfield, Emlagh, Ballybride, Rathbrennan, Mount Prospect, Lisnaville, Brackloon, Mullymux, Clooneenbane and Lisagallon.

Crews are currently on-site repairing the main. It is expected works will be completed this afternoon. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.

Uisce Éireann’s Ger Greally has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore water supply as quickly as possible.

“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while the repair works are ongoing,” he said.
