Customers in Glenamaddy and Dunmore impacted by Boil Water Notice

The Boil Water Notice applies to customers supplied by the Dunmore-Glenamaddy Public Water Supply and Glenamaddy Public Water Supply.

Uisce Éireann has issued a Boil Water Notice for customers supplied by Dunmore-Glenamaddy Public Water Supply and Glenamaddy Public Water Supply.

This notice is being issued to protect the health of customers supplied by Dunmore-Glenamaddy Public Water Supply (approximately 2134 customers) and Glenamaddy Public Water Supply (approximately 896 customers) due to operational issues at the Gortgarrow Water Treatment Plant.

Customers affected by this notice are advised to boil water before drinking, preparing food, brushing teeth, making ice and washing salads or other foods that are not cooked prior to consumption.

The notice applies only to customers supplied by the Dunmore-Glenamaddy Public Water Supply and Glenamaddy Public Water Supply and Group Water Schemes served by these schemes.

Customers can check if their property is affected by visiting the Water Quality Section of water.ie and entering their Eircode or by contacting Uisce Éireann’s customer care team, available 24/7, on 1800 278 278.

Drinking water experts from Uisce Éireann are working to lift the notice as quickly and safely as possible, in consultation with the Health Service Executive.
