'Device' removed from Roscommon property

A "device" believed to be historical in nature was removed from a Roscommon Town property earlier today, Thursday.
The Irish Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended at the scene, a vacant property, on Main Street, Roscommon and removed the "device" for safe disposal.
Gardaí say they also attended at the scene following the discovery of the device.
The area around the property on Main Street/Chapel Lane was cordoned off while the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team removed the "device" believed to be historical in nature, for safe disposal.
