A Tuesday night pub quiz, which started in October 1984 in a County Roscommon pub, has continued on a weekly basis ever since.
Spell’s Bar in Ballaghaderreen is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its weekly pub quiz this week and the quizzers are now asking is this the longest running pub quiz in the county.. or maybe the country… and who knows maybe even further afield?
The quiz runs all year round on a Tuesday night and the role of quiz master is rotated between quiz goers weekly.
Spell’s will host an anniversary quiz and reunion on this Tuesday, October 22nd. Stories and memories from 8 p.m. and anniversary quiz at 9 p.m..
