The novel event, taking place from Friday, October 24th to Monday, October 27th, is a one-of-a-kind adventure to raise funds for a long dreamed of community amenity area in Croghan.

The trek involves a 60km walk from Croghan to Rosses Point, a 60m swim and 60km cycle back to Croghan.

All interested in supporting the fundraiser are welcome to join for parts of the walk, cycle or swim.

At every stop, there will be music, laughter, and community spirit. Music stops along the route: Friday 24th at 9 p.m. in the Mayfly Inn, Ballinafad; Saturday 25th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in McDermott's, Castlebaldwin and in Connolly's Bar, Collooney from 9 p.m.; Sunday 26th at the Harp Tavern, Sligo from 9.30 p.m., and on Monday 27th, the homecoming session takes place at Croghan Bar from 6 p.m..

All funds raised go to the Croghan Community Projects Group with the aim of building a new amenity area - including a playground, walking paths, benches - behind the Old Creamery Café in the heart of the village.

“It’s a bit mad,” laughs Eimear. “But that’s the magic of it. This trek is about fun, connection, and doing something wild together for a great cause.

"A shout-out, a visit, a share. Any support would mean the world. This trek is for everyone who believes community still matters,” she says.

“This is more than fundraising,” says a group spokesperson. “It’s about pride, people, and proving that small places can dream big.”

The Croghan crew is inviting all of Ireland to cheer Eimear on.
