Evening sees increased voter turnout in County Roscommon 

The turnout of voters in the county increased this evening as expected, but remains relatively low.

As of this evening, polling stations around the county experienced an increase, particularly in the Roscommon Town area. Polling stations will remain open until 10pm.

As of 7.30 pm, the voter turn out looked like this:

• Athlone (Roscommon side) 39.9% 

• Roscommon Town 34.6% 

• Castlerea 29.7% 

• Ballinalose 25.5% 

• Ballaghaderreen 22.7% 

Earlier this afternoon the voter turnout looked like this:

• Roscommon town 18.8% 

• Castlerea 17.7% 

• Ballinasloe 16.6% 

• Athlone 29.7% 

• Ballaghaderreen 15%
