A father and son from Carrick-on-Shannon shared a special moment during the EU Presidency meetings held earlier this week in Ballina, Co Mayo.
Strategic Commander, Chief Superintendent Ray McMahon and his son, Army Captain Jack McMahon were pictured at the Command Centre during the high level meetings.
As An Garda Síochána noted on its Facebook Page: “Two careers, one calling. Father and son side by side!”
Ray McMahon is the Chief Superintendent for the Mayo/Roscommon/Longford Garda District.
