Fergal to get back on his bike for new challenge in October

Fergal Guihen celebrates the end of his mammoth Rossie to Aussie cycle at Sydney Opera House in February.

The Roscommon man who completed 30,000 kilometres over three continents to Australia earlier this year will be back on his bike in a couple of months’ time.

Fergal Guihen, who completed the Rossie to Aussie challenge in February, will embark on a new venture in Turkmenistan in early October.

The North Roscommon native announced via social media that he will be cycling the Highway to Hell Ultracycle with his friend Johnny Ward.

Fergal is inviting people to accompany them on the cycle from Ashgaba — the capital of Turkmenistan — to the Gates of Hell.

Fergal added that he was happy “to finally get the show back on the road”. Those interested in taking up the challenge can contact him directly.
