Former town councillor to run as an Independent in local elections

Former Boyle town councillor Jane Suffin is to contest this summer's local elections as an Independent candidate in the local Municipal District.
Declaring her intention to run on her Facebook page, the former Independent and Sinn Féin town councillor said that Boyle needed a practical voice, “a voice that isn't afraid to fight for what's right for the town”.
Ms Suffin is also a former Mayor of Boyle.
Sitting Boyle-based councillor, Fianna Fáil’s John Cummins will not be seeking re-election.
