Beloved priest to bid farewell to local parish after 11 years

A much loved parish priest in the county will be moving from his parish in the coming weeks.

Frenchpark parish priest Fr Micheál Donnelly has informed all parishioners that he is being transferred, from Tuesday, June 30th next, to the parish of Ahascragh/Caltra at the request of Bishop Kevin Doran.

He has served as parish priest of Frenchpark, Ballinagare, Fairymount and Tibohine for nearly eleven years.

Fr Micheál has thanked all of his parishioners for their kindness, support and commitment in making his job easier in running the daily activities within the parish and in helping to keep all churches afloat.

Fr Micheál's replacement will be named in due course.
