Fuel queues at county's filling stations

There are growing concerns about fuel shortages.

Queues at the county's forecourts are starting to emerge this afternoon as concerns increase about fuel supplies.

In Roscommon Town and Castlerea, there are queues of vehicles at the pumps, while in South Roscommon and Athlone Town, there are reports of very busy trading at local filling stations. Queues are also reported in North Roscommon and Carrick on Shannon.

Nationally there are reports that some filling stations in Munster and Connacht have been forced to close their pumps or are running out of fuel.

Meanwhile protests are continuing at fuel sites in Cork, Limerick, and Galway as demonstrations entered a third day, with so far no sign of a resolution.
