Funding announced for seven parent and toddler groups in County Roscommon

Seven parent and toddler groups in County Roscommon are to receive finding of €6,200 it was announced this morning.

The funding, announced by Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Norma Foley, can be used for a variety of purposes including children’s toys, equipment and books as well as children’s refreshments and snacks. It can also be used for children’s activities such as arts and crafts and music. Parents can also be supported with parenting courses and courses in first aid for children.

The groups to benefit in County Roscommon are: Rahara Parent & Toddler Group, €800; Castlerea Community & Family Resource Centre, €800; Stepping Stones P & T Group, €1,100; Frenchpark & District Childcare P & T Group, €1,100, Brightsparks P & T Group, €800; Johnstown P & T Group, South Roscommon FRC, €800; Boyle Family Resource Centre P & T Group, €800.
