Roscommon GAA has received a boost with the news that the Dermot Earley Centre of Excellence is set to receive major funds.

Under draft provisional allocations as part of the Large-Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund 2024, the Dermot Earley Centre of Excellence in Roscommon Town is set to receive €5.5m in funding.

The funding will go towards the development of a clubhouse, gym, pitches and a training area.

The money will also be used to develop floodlighting within the facility.

There are 35 facilities that are set to receive funding under the Large-Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund 2024 that worth a total of €173.25m.
