Funding for four County Roscommon animal welfare charities

Funding has been announced for four animal welfare charities in County Roscommon.
The four charities in the county to benefit from the funding, announced by Minister for Agriculture Food and Marine Martin Heydon, are Animal Haven Ireland, €4,000; Fairyglen Community Animal Sanctuary, €19,750; Roscommon SPCA, €48,875 and TNR South Roscommon, €13,000. Leitrim animal welfare will receive €35,000.
Minister Heydon has urged the public to think carefully before getting a pet. "A pet can bring great joy, but with that comes responsibility," he said.
