Funeral details published for respected local GAA volunteer

The late Irene Cryan.

The funeral details have been published for Irene Cryan (née Barry), Cootehall, Boyle and formerly of Youghal, Co Cork.

The mother of three's untimely passing on Sunday is being deeply mourned in local GAA circles and beyond.

Mrs Cryan was a well-known volunteer at underage level for both St. Ronan’s and St. Michael’s GAA clubs in North Roscommon.

She is pre-deceased by her parents David and Mary Barry, her brother Martin and sisters Una and Eithne.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Michael, her beloved children Conor, Sinéad and Aoife, brothers and sisters Marian, Ann, Noel, Donie, Kevin, Paul, Orla and Michael, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide circle of extended family friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her home on Thursday, September 3rd, from 4p.m. until 8p.m. 

Removal on Friday morning to St. Michael's Church, Cootehall to arrive for celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon followed. 

Interment will take place afterwards in Kileenan Cemetery.
