Gardaí appeal for information following Longford fire
A fire broke out in the Grafton Court area of. Longford in the early hours of this morning, Sunday.
Gardaí in Longford said they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the fire at Grafton Court in Longford in the early hours of yesterday morning, Sunday, 28th July 2024. Significant damage was caused in the blaze.
Shortly before 1:30 am, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a fire at a premises at Grafton Court in Longford town.
“Residents in the overhead apartments were safely evacuated, and the fire was brought under control by local fire services,” Gardaí said. “No injuries were reported. The scene remains preserved and a forensic and technical examination is ongoing.”
Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact Gardaí in Longford. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were in the area between 12:00am midnight and 2:00am are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
