Gardaí seeking information following collision

Local Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian O'Rahilly Street/Bury Street, Ballina, County Mayo on Wednesday 1st of April 2026.

A woman in her 70s was taken to Mayo University Hospital with serious injuries. Investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 12:00 pm and 13:00 pm are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
