Garda injured following public order incident in County Roscommon
A Garda sustained a number of injuries during the course of the incident.
A garda has been injured following a public order incident at a commercial premises in Monksland on Wednesday afternoon.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that a responding member of An Garda Síochána received a number of non-life-threatening injuries during the course of the incident.
A man was arrested at the commercial premises for offences contrary to the Public Order Act.
The man, aged in his 30s, has since been charged and is due to appear before Athlone District Court at a later date.
The incident occurred at approximately 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
