Garda issue public appeal to help trace missing Athlone man
James Gaffey was last seen on Saturday morning.
Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 42-year-old James Gaffey who is reported missing from his home in Athlone, since Monday, April 20th 2026.
He was last seen at 7.30 a.m. on Saturday, 18th April 2026.
James is described as being 6 foot 3 with a slim build. He has red hair with a long red beard. It is not known what James was wearing the day of his disappearance.
He is believed to have access to an 06LK-Reg blue Volkswagen Passat.
James is known to frequent the areas of Summerhill, Co Meath, Burgess Park, Co Westmeath, and Co Offaly.
Gardaí and James’s family are concerned for his wellbeing.
