GE 24 Roscommon-Galway: FG Director of Elections very pleased with Dolan’s performance

Pat Tully, Fine Gael Director of Elections Roscommon-Galway
Pat Tully, Fine Gael Director of Elections for Roscommon-Galway, has expressed his satisfaction at the performance of party candidate, outgoing Senator Aisling Dolan.
“The results are coming out more or less as expected, Michael Fitzmaurice and Claire Kerrane very strong, and Martin Daly is slightly ahead of us.
“Aisling Dolan is polling very, very well. In Ballinasloe, South Roscommon and the Galway area, she is doing exceptionally well,” he said.
Mr Tully believed the other Fine Gael candidate Dympna Daly-Finn was doing quite well in pockets of South Roscommon, and her transfers will benefit her running mate.
“We’re hoping that when she gets eliminated, we’re hoping to get a boost there. Eugene Murphy’s transfers are going to decide the last seat,” he said.
71 of the 124 boxes have now been tallied, with Dolan on almost 3,500 votes.
