The spell of hot weather is set to continue today, Wednesday, but a change is on the way.

Temperatures are set to rise to between 24 and 29 degrees in many areas.
However, Met Éireann’s forecast for Connacht is warning of scattered thunderstorms moving northwards from the south during the late afternoon and evening.

Thursday is set to be mostly cloudy with patchy light rain, drizzle and mist expected.

A much cooler day is expected tomorrow with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees generally.

However, there will still be a lot of dry weather and limited sunny spells will break through.
