Hundreds of homes in County Roscommon without power

Hundreds of homes and businesses in County Roscommon are without power this morning, Sunday.

While County Roscommon is not part of the weather warnings for strong winds and rain issued by Met Eireann for today, power outages have been reported in the Castlerea, Elphin and Boyle areas.

A power outage is affecting 501 customers in the Castlerea area, 574 in the Boyle area and 44 in the Elphin area.

According to ESB Networks its personnel are working to restore the faults.  A restore time of 6 p.m. has been given for some of the faults and for others the restore time is unknown.
