Hundreds of homes and businesses are currently without power across County Roscommon as Storm Dave hits.
With a Status Yellow wind warning in place for the county until 2 a.m. tomorrow, Met Éireann is warning of possible fallen trees, branches, wave overtopping and very difficult travelling conditions.
In the last few hours high winds have knocked out power to homes in the Castlerea area (432), Arigna (401), Glenamaddy (2,190), Carrick-on-Shannon area (195), and Ballyhaunis area (804).
ESB Networks says crews are mobilised in impacted areas and responding to power outages where safe to do so.
