They’re here to compete, but they’re also here to have fun.
The smiling faces of athletes that lit up the opening ceremony of 2026 Special Olympics Ireland Summer Games was a ringing endorsement for the first edition of the Games since Covid.
Team Connacht, with their nine Roscommon athletes leading the way, were in brilliant form at the opening ceremony in Tallaght Stadium, Dublin, on Friday morning.
The games, which takes place between June 18th and June 21st, will be held across multiple venues across Dublin, Meath, and Kildare.
