King House Tea Rooms owner, Dorothy Shannon, has expressed her deep gratitude to the community for its continued support over the last decade.

King House Tea Rooms in Boyle is proudly celebrating 10 years in business this April, marking a decade at the heart of the local community.

Situated in the beautiful grounds of King House, the Tea Rooms have become a much-loved focal point in Boyle.

Owner Dorothy Shannon, originally from Cootehall, expressed her gratitude. “I’m delighted to be part of this wonderful community in Boyle. We have grown from strength to strength over the years, and that’s all thanks to our loyal customers,” said Dorothy.

“I’ve had the pleasure of hosting so many special occasions here - from book launches and plays to Sunday brunches and even Christmas Day dinners.” 

Dorothy also highlighted the town’s vibrant creative spirit. “Boyle is a wonderfully creative place to be part of, something that really shines through during events like the Boyle Arts Festival and the Boyle Musical,” she said.

To mark the occasion, King House Tea Rooms will host a special celebration on April 25th, featuring live music, balloon entertainment and an all-day €10 menu.

In keeping with Dorothy’s commitment to giving back, the celebration will also feature a fundraiser in support of Mayo Roscommon Children’s Hospice (Sunshine House) and Roscommon SPCA. 

Guests are even encouraged to bring along their pets to join in the festivities.
