Landmark County Roscommon home to get new lease of life following purchase by US couple

Tinny Park House has been sold.

An historic County Roscommon property is set to get a new lease of life following its purchase by an American couple for close to its asking price.

The sale of Tinny Park House, set on 6.2 acres at Corrastoona Beg, Ballintubber, has now been closed by auctioneer Seamus Carthy of REA Seamus Carthy, Roscommon.

Seamus told the Roscommon Herald that the couple intended to use the property as a family home and he was excited to see this historic home embark on its next chapter.

Tinny Park House is set in a highly accessible location, off the N60 national road approximately nine miles west of Roscommon Town and within close proximity to the villages of Ballintubber and Ballymoe.

It is an historic 19th century three bay two storey over lower ground floor Georgian family home.

The property has an enclosed stable courtyard comprising stone coachhouse and stables fully intact together with separate walled garden.

Externally, the property benefits from feature square profiled cut stone piers at the entrance with private winding avenue. There is an original multi-bay stable and coach house fronting onto the square courtyard.
