'Let it flow!' says OPW Minister as Lough Funshinagh pumps activated

OPW Minister Kevin 'Boxer' Moran activates the pumping system at Lough Funshinagh.

OPW Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran and Roscommon County Council today turned on the interim pumping solution to help manage the flood risk at Lough Funshinagh.

"Let it flow!" said Minister Moran as the pumps were activated.

The interim pumping system will be in place pending the completion of a permanent scheme at the Lough in South Roscommon

It was a significant day for a community devastated by flooding.
