Local Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the discharge of a firearm.

The incident took place in Ballinasloe, County Galway, early this morning Tuesday, 4th February, and investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí responded to reports of shots fired at two residential properties in Ballinasloe at approximately 3:50am. Criminal damage occurred at the properties and no persons were injured during the incidents.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them.

Any person who was in the St Grellan’s Terrace and surrounding areas at Brackernagh, Ballinasloe between 3:30am and 4:30am and who may have mobile phone or dash-cam footage, is asked to make this available to Gardaí.

In particular, Gardaí are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen a dark-coloured saloon car at these locations.
