McHugh’s bar in Carrick-on-Shannon has won Best Music Bar in Connacht at the Irish Bar and Cocktail Awards.
Located on Bridge Street in the town, the venue has become a very popular live music venue across the region.
Known for its atmosphere and guaranteed craic, it's no surprise the bar took home the honours.
In a social media message, the bar said: “To say we are over the moon is an understatement. This award belongs to our phenomenal loyal musicians who grace our stage and give it everything lifting the roof! To you for always bringing the energy and making McHugh's the liveliest spot around!
“We also managed to pick up Best Outdoor Space in the region too!”
The Irish Bar & Cocktail Awards honour the teams and venues who "craft connection, elevate experience and shape the ever evolving story of Irish hospitality.”
The awards ceremony took place at the Mount Wolseley Hotel Spa & Golf Resort in Co Carlow.
