It was another weekend to remember for Megan.

It’s certainly been another weeked to remember for Sligo Rose and local girl, Megan McCormack from Cloonloo.

Megan and her Gurteen Celtic teammates won the Connacht Shield final on Sunday after defeating Mervue 1-0 after extra time in Castlebar.

She was also awarded the player of the match performance.

It was a historic day for their club in its first season back in ladies senior football, and in the Sligo/Leitrim league.

Megan is also a talented Gaelic footballer with Easter Harps, and is now looking forward to another big final in the summer.

After a recent Rose Tralee selection night, she will now represent Sligo in this year’s Rose of Tralee competition in Kerry.
