Lorry detected speeding by Roscommon Gardaí 

Roscommon Gardaí stopped the lorry this morning.

Roscommon Gardaí have detected an articulated lorry going almost twice the speed limit as it passed a primary school.

Roscommon Road Policing Unit was on patrol in an unmarked car this morning in Cloontuskert Village when they detected a lorry travelling at 91km/h in a 50km/h zone, right in front of the school.

The lorry was stopped and the driver was given a fixed charge penalty notice.
