One person from the county won thousands of euro recently playing the National Lottery.
The online player from Roscommon won a whopping €50,000 on the €5 Instant Win Game, Wordplay Mystery Multiplier.
“It took me about an hour to ring my husband to tell him because I wanted to be certain,” the lucky winner said. “I think I’ll be using the win to make a very important investment for myself…I’m calling it an investment but really, this is the perfect opportunity to buy myself a handbag that I never would have even considered before. A family holiday is definitely next on the list though.”
Tonight’s EuroMillions draw is set to see the jackpot soar towards an estimated €210 million. The National Lottery are reminding players dreaming of midweek celebrations that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time for sales this evening.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6.5 billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 37 years ago.
