Man arrested in Ballinasloe after woman hospitalised with serious injuries
Investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí in Ballinasloe have arrested a man in connection with the serious assault of a woman on Monday evening, December 9th.
At approximately 7 p.m., Gardaí were alerted to an assault at a residence in Ballinasloe. A woman in her fifties received serious injuries.
The injured woman was taken to Portiuncula University Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
The man in his fifties has been arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the county.
Investigations are ongoing.
