Man arrested in County Roscommon for motoring offence found to be subject of deportation order

A motorist arrested in County Roscommon for a motoring offence during the week was found to be the subject of a deportation order, gardaì have said.
Gardaí from the Mayo Roads Policing Unit stopped a motorist in Castlerea for using a mobile phone while driving.
They discovered at the roadside, via information available on the Garda mobility device, that the man was subject to a deportation order.
He was subsequently arrested and detained, pending deportation.
