A man in his 70s has died following a workplace accident in County Roscommon
The accident, at a workplace in the Bealnamulla area of South Roscommon occurred earlier this afternoon, Wednesday.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted at approximately 2 p.m.. The man in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A garda spokesperson confirmed officials from the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) had been notified ahead of a pending investigation.
“Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a fatal workplace accident at a premises in Bealnamulla, County Roscommon today, Wednesday January 15, at approximately 2 p.m.,” said the spokesperson.
A file will be prepared for the coroner
