A 34-year-old man was given community service at a recent sitting of Roscommon District Court.
Bernie Corcoran, with an address at 4 Creggane, Ballinasloe, appeared before Judge Vincent Deane. He had previously pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour at Main Street, Roscommon Town on January 13th, 2025.
The court heard he was suitable for community service and the judge imposed 150 hours community service in lieu of three months’ imprisonment.
