Memorial bench restored after being vandalised

The memorial bench has been restored to its original condition.

The family who installed a memorial bench in Castlerea in memory of a loved one have welcomed its restoration after it had been vandalised.

The seating part of the bench located in the Demesne area of the town had been defaced in a number of areas with scrawled, scratched writing.

The family has praised the work of Wayne Suffin of Suffin & Son Memorials, Fourmilehouse for restoring the bench to its original condition.

“Thank you so so, so much to everyone who got in touch and especially to Wayne - it really means a lot. Lets hope those who did the damage have learnt a life lesson. Faith in humanity truly has been restored,” said one family member.
