Motorist caught speeding on Roscommon road as part of National Slow Down Day

Thursday, February 29th, 2024, is National Slow Down Day.
A motorist has been caught speeding on a County Roscommon road as part of today’s National Slow Down Day.
In this morning’s update by An Garda Síochána, it was reported that GoSafe detected 33 vehicles travelling in excess of the applicable speed limit.
This included a motorist on the N4 at Drishoge, Carrick-on-Shannon, travelling at 75km/h in a 60km/h zone.
An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to drivers to comply with speed limits in order to reduce the number of speed-related collisions, save lives, and reduce injuries on our roads.
