Motorist with no insurance had expired learner permit and tested positive for cocaine

A motorist stopped in County Roscommon on Friday last was arrested for a number of motoring offences.
Gardaí said that members of the Roscommon Roads Policing Unit were on mobile patrol on Friday afternoon last when a vehicle flagged on the ANPR for no insurance.
When stopped the driver had an expired learner permit, no insurance, no L pates, no full licence driver accompanying them, and tested positive for cocaine.
“The driver was arrested and court proceedings are to follow,” said gardaí.
