New festival in County Roscommon set to take place
Mike Denver comes to Athleague on Friday, August 22nd.
The village of Athleague is set to play host to the inaugural Athleague End of Summer Festival across the weekend of Friday, August 22nd to Sunday, August 24th.
This new addition to the summer calendar boasts a strong lineup of acts playing at Athleague Community Centre, with Sabrina Fallon taking the stage at 9.45 p.m. on Friday, followed up by well-known country singer Mike Denver at 11 p.m.. Tickets are €20, over 18s event.
On Saturday, doors for ‘Glory Days’, a Bruce Springsteen tribute open at 9.30 p.m., with ‘The Bjorn Identity’ ABBA tribute band taking the stage afterwards. Entry is €20, over 18s event.
At 4 p.m. on Sunday, a barbecue takes place, and at 5 p.m. ‘Legends of American Country’ will play. Entry is €10, children free.
A heritage walk, amusements and a tractor run will take place across the weekend also.
