A group of volunteers from Roscommon, Donegal, Thurles, Kilkenny, Armagh, Enniskillen, Malin and Dublin have been walking to Knock over a nine day period for charity. They will reach Knock Shrine on August 15th.

They are walking for the charity Mary's Meals, and their mission is to raise awareness and funds for the charity that works with children in the world's poorest countries.

Mary's Meals provides daily meals to children in their place of education, currently feeding over 2.4 million children globally.

During a stop in Ballymoe today a well deserved cup of tea was provided by Marion and Gillian Coughlan.

Fr Eamonn Kelly has been actively involved in fundraising and promoting the charity's work. He is a priest of the Raphoe diocese and a board director for Mary's Meals Ireland. He is known for his "Step by Step" walks to Knock Shrine, which raise awareness and funds for the charity.

Mass will be celebrated by Fr Eamonn Kelly in Castlerea Church at 7:30 pm this evening.
