Owner of straying cattle sought
These cattle were found straying n the Frenchpark/Castlerea road.
Three cattle reported straying on the Frenchpark to Castlerea Road overnight have been secured by a homeowner who found them in her garden earlier this morning, Saturday.
The owner of the cattle is now being sought and is advised that the animals are secure and safe.
The home owner, who has so far been unable to locate an owner for the cattle, contacted gardaí who confirmed that a number of reports relating to straying cattle on the Castlerea to Frenchpark Road were received over night and earlier this morning.
Gardaí are aware of the location of the cattle and have the homeowner's details.
