People in the county remain without power following Storm Amy

People remain without power today in the county following Storm Amy on Friday.

According to the ESB’s Powercheck website, in the Frenchpark area 67 customers have been without power since just after 3 pm on Friday, this fault is expected to be resolved by 7pm today. In the Cortober area, there are 23 customers without power. This fault was first reported at 7.45 am on Saturday morning with an expected restoration time of 8pm tonight.

There are 97 customers without power in the Ballinlough area, with power expected to be restored shortly. This outage was reported just after noon today, and may be related to work on the electricity network.

The ESB has apologised for the loss of supply, saying it is working to repair the faults as quickly as possible.
