Plans have been lodged with Roscommon County Council to build eight new houses in Roscommon Town.

The applicant is seeking permission to demolish an existing derelict structure (former industrial facilities) and construct eight new houses at Church Street in the town.

The homes comprise two four bed semi-detached, three three bed terraced and two two bed semi-detached units.

The plans also involve the renovation and refurbishment of an existing townhouse with a new extension along with two car parking spaces to the rear of the dwelling.

County planners are due to make a decision on the development by November 18th.
