Popular local Roscommon Garda retires

A popular and respected Roscommon Garda retired today after more than three decades service.
Roscommon Gardaí wished their colleague and friend, Garda John O’Connor, the very best on his retirement today after 35 years of service with An Garda Síochána.
He has spent the last 15 years in community policing in the Roscommon area and has worked tirelessly in the community.
He will be greatly missed by all in Roscommon Garda Station and the town, which holds a special place in his heart.
