'Positive meeting' between council and TII over dangerous roads
Roscommon County Council headquarters (Áras an Chontae) in Roscommon Town.
The meeting between members of Roscommon County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland is understood to have been very positive.
A number of schemes, including the stalled Castlerea Traffic Safety Scheme, were discussed today at the meeting in Dublin. This project would see a set of traffic lights at Hell’s Kitchen junction, as well as a number of pedestrian crossing points.
Dangerous junctions such as the one at Scramoge Cross were also discussed, as was upgrading the N61.
The meeting was attended by a number of councillors and officials, including the Council Chief Shane Tiernan.
