Progress on two projects in Enfield and Lisacul welcomed
A scheme to extend public lighting from Lisacul Community Centre to the crossroads at Creaton’s pub is set to commence shortly.
Progress on two separate projects in Lisacul in West Roscommon and Enfield near Ballintubber have been welcomed by a local councillor.
Under the Community Involvement Scheme, €70,000 has been allocated to develop additional car parking outside St. Croan’s GAA grounds in Enfield.
The project will involve clearing vegetation, laying hardcore and creating extra car parking spaces.

Separately, a scheme to extend public lighting from Lisacul Community Centre to the village crossroads at Creaton’s pub in the village is set to get underway shortly.
The works will include the installation of three new lights along the route, along with a fourth light at the crossroads across from the pub.
Independent councillor Michael Holland welcomed the developments and said they would enhance safety and accessibility in both areas.
He also thanked Roscommon County Council for its support and acknowledged the contribution of the local authority’s Assets Department in progressing the Lisacul lighting scheme.
