Resounding No vote in Family referendum in Roscommon-Galway constituency
The results of the Family Referendum in the Roscommon-Galway constituency have just been announced.
The constituency of Roscommon-Galway has delivered a resounding No vote in the Family referendum where the Government’s amendment was rejected by 74% to 26%.
21,173 people voted no while 7,441 people voted yes. There were 333 spoiled votes.
Total electorate was 66,184 with a total valid poll of 28,614. Turnout was 43.7%.
The results have just been announced by Returning Officer Mary Raftery.
Counting has now got underway for the Care Referendum.
