Roscommon builders merchants scoop regional award
The awards took place recently in Galway.
Cooney's Homevalue, which has three offices in Roscommon, has won the ‘Best Merchanting Store in Connacht’ at a recent awards ceremony in Galway.
The fourth-generation chain of builders merchants stores scooped the honours at the United Hardware’s 6th annual ‘United in Excellence Awards’ held at The Galmont Hotel.
Cooney’s Homevalue has outlets in Castlerea, Elphin, Tibohine, Athenry and Ballina.
The United in Excellence Awards, which had a number of honours up for grabs on the evening, brought together more than 250 guests from across the United Hardware network.
The awards recognise outstanding achievement and innovation among Irish hardware and builders merchant stores.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of a cheque for more than €60,000 to Barretstown, United Hardware’s national charity partner.
The charity supports life changing programmes for children and families affected by serious illness.
